This collective effort aims to build a new ecosystem for the global expansion of Hubei's intelligent connected and new energy vehicle industry and accelerate the entry of "Hubei-made" vehicles into the global market.
In her speech, Liu Qingtao, Vice Chairman of the Shiyan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), stated that Shiyan boasts a strong industrial foundation, significant geographical advantages, and abundant talent resources, and is fully committed to building a modern industrial system characterized by "one leading sector, four competitive sectors, and multiple supporting sectors." Hubei possesses a complete automotive industry chain, and she expressed hope that this event would serve as an opportunity to promote regional cooperation to deeper levels and broader areas. Shiyan will continue to create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized, fully implement various pro-business policies, and provide full-lifecycle services to ensure every investor can start and grow their businesses with peace of mind. She welcomed more outstanding enterprises to choose Shiyan, invest in Shiyan, and jointly create a new future for technological innovation and industrial development.

In the guest sharing session on "Seeking the Next Blue Ocean for Chinese Auto Outbound Expansion", Chen Hongjun, researcher of the Institute of Industry Research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, stated that China's automobile exports have entered a phase of rapid growth since 2021. In 2023, China exported 4.91 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 58%, becoming the world's largest automobile exporter for the first time. In 2024, exports continued to climb to 6.4 million vehicles, a growth of 19.3%, marking a profound reshaping of the global automotive industry landscape and China's entry into a "Great Navigation Era" for automobiles. Currently, Chinese automakers are transitioning from exporting products to moving the entire industrial chain overseas. Facing differences in overseas markets, enterprises need to comprehensively consider institutional, economic, resource, and socio-cultural distances, formulate strategies tailored to local conditions, and gradually advance location selection, model establishment, and supply chain integration. Amid the trends of intelligentization, electrification, and globalization, the Chinese automotive industry should seize the opportunity of this paradigm shift to explore new blue oceans in global expansion.
Dr. Zhou Yunxian, founder of Bringbuys, elaborated on the corporate mission of "Making Cross-Border Simple with Technology" in his speech. As a leader in digital services for the globalization of Chinese brands, the company utilizes reverse cross-border algorithms, AI big data, and cloud computing as core technologies to independently develop the "BringAl-BringBl-BringShop" cross-border industry service brain, providing industrial belts and enterprises with one-stop digital-intelligent global expansion services. With over 100 patents and software copyrights, Kuajingshuo has facilitated cross-border trade exceeding RMB 10 billion, partnering with over 40 global ecological partners to provide full-chain services including digital technology, brand operation, and talent cultivation.
Under the theme "Real Cases of Chinese Enterprises Going Global", Francesco Saluto, CEO of Suzhou Nengyue Management Consulting Co., Ltd., pointed out that automotive global expansion requires deep integration into local industrial chains. Using Indonesia as an example, he noted that the country's electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly, with sales surging by 156% since 2024, and significant increases in demand for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled electric vehicles. The Indonesian government plans to increase the market share of electric vehicles to at least 30% by 2030 and shows strong advantages in upstream manufacturing, particularly for two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, with exports growing by 143% during the same period. However, Indonesia's charging infrastructure still lags behind its ASEAN neighbors, hindering further market development. Chinese automakers entering the market need to address multiple challenges including local protection policies, import restrictions, and complex certification processes. The key lies in promoting local cooperation, enhancing technological adaptation and brand trust building, while accurately understanding user needs and improving after-sales networks and service responsiveness to establish sustainable competitive barriers.
Speaking on "Compliant Cross-Border Capital Pathways for Chinese Overseas Expansion", Sun Chaopeng, Director of the Cooperation Office of the Lin-gang Special Area "GOING GLOBAL" Comprehensive Service Platform**, stated that the platform is jointly built by the government, financial institutions, law firms, and other professional organizations to provide enterprises with one-stop services for global expansion, including cross-border finance, foreign-related insurance, and legal arbitration. The platform has established 37 branch centers and liaison offices across China, creating a nationwide "end-to-end" service network connected to the globe. For example, an automotive components enterprise efficiently resolved tax, import-export, and compliance issues encountered during its investment in Malaysia through the platform. Currently, the platform is actively supporting the Lingang New Area in building an intelligent vehicle eco-city, focusing on the layout of the entire industrial chain with a target annual output value of RMB 400 billion, aiming to support the global development of Chinese enterprises with a comprehensive service system.
Furthermore, a Roundtable Forum themed "Practical Path of Hubei Automobile Industry Chain Going Global" was held. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the new journey of globalization for the Hubei automobile industry, exploring practical pathways and strategies for the industry chain's international expansion.
The "Gathering Wisdom in Jingchu Linking the Globe—2025 Hubei Automotive Industry Chain Global Expansion Summit" effectively integrated resources from government, industry, academia, research, and finance. Through a series of activities including high-level dialogues, strategy releases, and practical case studies, the summit not only deeply analyzed the key bottlenecks and opportunities in automotive global expansion but also achieved efficient and precise matching of cross-domain service resources with the practical needs of the regional automotive industry. It provided systematic support and practical pathways for the international expansion of Hubei's automotive industry chain.
